Makita BO6050J 150mm Random Orbital Sander (240v/110v)

The Makita BO6050J is a direct replacement to the popular BO5040 this random orbital sander also features direct drive function for coarse sanding and polishing particularly popular with the boat building industry.

With a newly designed slim body and rubber moulded grip the BO6050J is about as smooth as they come, features include soft start, variable speed and constant speed control which increases power to the motor when it comes under load. Pad size is 150mm hook and loop for rapid pad change and a slim skirt provides higher work efficiency in tight places and protects the backing pad from damage. 2 modes of operation are available, random orbit mode for finish sanding and buffing and roto-orbit mode where the pad is belt driven to provide orbit and rotation at the same time making it ideal for rapid stock removal and polishing. A low profile dust extraction nozzle can be connected to suitable extraction units to reduce airborne dust and a spindle lock is fitted for easy backing pad removal.
