The Makita DUC355PG2 twin 18v brushless chainsaw kit includes 2 x 6Ah 18v LXT batteries, DC18RD twin fast charger and a 35cm bar and chain. Powered by 2 x 18v batteries linked in series to run a powerful 36v Brushless DC motor which is around 30% more efficient than its brushed counterparts and provides longer run time and is virtually maintenance free.
The DUC355PG2 has a variable speed trigger with a chain speed of 0-20m/s which is almost identical to a petrol chainsaw and constant speed control monitors the load and increases the power to keep the chain speed constant. Safety features include a kickback brake, auto power off which prevents unintentional start up, a battery protection circuit plus a metal spike bumper ensures a firm grip. This unit has a 35cm bar and is supplied with a 3/8" low kickback Oregon chain and chain tensioning is manual using a slotted screwdriver on the sprocket cover.
Other features include a soft grip handle, adjustable automatic chain lubrication with an oil capacity display and captive nuts on the sprocket cover. This unit is compatible with all Makita LXT 18v Li-Ion batteries including mixed Ah combinations but please note the chainsaw will only operate while both batteries have charge.
