Makita LS1040 260mm Mitre Saw (110v)

The Makita LS1040 is a single speed mitre saw and has for years been the main stay of many a kitchen fitter and wood working enthusiast. Fitted with a 260mm tungsten carbide tipped saw blade it has a maximum depth of cut at 90° of 90.5mm x 95mm crosscut capacity or a maximum crosscut capacity of 130mm x 69mm. Sporting many of the features found on machines twice its price, this saw features Makita's excellent 2 stage safety on/off switch that requires the user to firstly push down on the button on the head of the handle and then pull the on/off switch in, by removing the push button on top of this saw the machine will not operate, a very good safety feature.

The table can be swung both left and right to angles of 45° - 52° and will stop at the most popular angles, supplied with a material clamp that can be positioned on either side of the head to clamp down on the material being cut it also boasts a pair of extension arms that can be positioned to offer a greater table support, altogether an excellent little saw.
