The Makita MLS100 entry level mitre saw has been added to the range by Makita to compete with the influx of the cheap imported tools readily available. What you will get when you purchase this machine is a tool that bears Makita's name and can be serviced and angles adjusted if required, something you will not get with the cheaper imported tools.

Fitted with a 255mm tungsten carbide tipped blade and a 1500watt motor you can achieve a depth of cut at 90° of 75mm, 3" and a maximum cross cut capacity of 130mm. Ideally suited to the DIY user and the light industrial user it will cope with the cutting of skirting boards, dado rails and cornice with ease, not the most powerful in Makita's range but a very good quality low cost mitre saw for general DIY and house renovation.
