The Makita DLX2204TX3 18v twin pack is an excellent kit for any professional tradesman, both tools feature brushless motors for longer runtime and require virtually no maintenance. The DHP484 is an excellent compact combi with an all metal 2 speed gearbox, easy to grip chuck, 21 torque settings and LED light for improved visibility. The DHR242 is the jewel in the 18v rotary hammer range, it is lightweight, compact and well balanced, has a drilling capacity of “24mm and 3 functions including rotary hammer, rotary only and hammer only for chiselling.

The Makita DHP484 combi drill features a brushless DC motor for longer run time per battery and virtually no maintenance. It is the upgrade from the DHP480 with the added benefits of an all steel gearbox, improved chuck and better grip. The gearbox has 2 mechanical gears with a low speed of 0-500rpm and a high speed of 0-2,000rpm and the rear collar has 3 settings of drill only, screwdriver with 21 torque settings and hammer mode for drilling masonry. With a compact length of just 182mm this machine is ideal for confined spaces such as kitchen fitting and a LED lamp situated under the chuck illuminates the work area.

The Makita DHR242 compact SDS+ drill is a 3 mode machine with rotary hammer for masonry drilling, hammer only for masonry chiselling and rotary only for drilling wood and steel and features variable speed and reverse. The DHR242 features a brushless DC motor which reduces energy loss by around 30% giving longer battery run time and saves maintenance. A rubberised rear D grip and side handle make this tool extremely well balanced and comfortable to use and at just 3.3kg it is suitable for prolonged use.
