Makita DTW181Z 18v Brushless Impact Wrench (Body Only)

The Makita DTW181Z impact wrench is part of the new range of "sub compact" 18v cordless tools from the LXT range that are lightweight and compact. The brushless motor requires no maintenance and is more efficient than a brushed motor increasing battery runtime by around 30% meaning less downtime charging batteries and twin LED lights illuminate the work piece when the trigger is operated. This multi function unit has 3 modes of operation:

• Hard for maximum impact force at 3,600 rpm ideal for frame assembly
• Soft for fine impact force at 2,000 rpm ideal for more delicate work such as furniture assembly
• Auto Stop, when used in reverse mode which stops rotation within 0.2s of the bolt/nut being loosened to prevent the nut falling off the thread

With a 1/2" square drive suitable for all standard 1/2" impact sockets this unit has an impressive maximum nut busting torque of 330Nm and is suitable for bolts M8-M16 (standard bolt) and M6-M12 (high tensile bolt) and the rubber moulded handle is ergonomic and comfortable for prolonged use.
