Makita RT0702CX2 1/4" Router/Trimmer (240v/110v)

The Makita RT0702CX2 router trimmer is a hybrid design, giving you two machines in 1. The main body features a 1 1/4 horsepower motor with variable speed and soft start and accepts 1/4" and 3/8" router bits. The motor housing is built from heavy-duty aluminium and features a rack and pinion gear system for fine height adjustment. Constant electronics keep the speed the same even under load, and a control dial can set the speed between 10,000 and 30,000 rpm.

The RT0700CX2 is supplied as standard with three bases suitable for various tasks, making a very versatile unit:

Trimmer Base

The trimmer base turns this unit into a compact laminate trimmer. It has an enlarged side opening for excellent visibility, a height adjustment knob and lock-off lever and a round base assembly for smooth, fast cutting.

Tilting Base

The tilting base is ideal for angled cuts from -30° to +45° and has an enlarged opening for excellent visibility, height adjustment knob and lock off lever and wide base for a fast, smooth cut.

Plunge Base

The plunge base converts the motor into a fully functional plunge router featuring two ergonomically contoured handles for smooth and stable routing with fine depth adjustment via the rack and pinion gearing and 3 stage depth adjustment for a plunge capacity of 0-35mm. A fence is supplied for parallel routing, and a wide base allows for stable routing.
