The Makita UR012GZ04 brush cutter features an 80v brushless motor powered by twin 40v Max batteries providing the equivalent power of a 40cc petrol brushcutter with zero emissions and lower noise pollution. The UR012GZ04 has a bike handle design that is comfortable and reduces operator fatigue when used in conjunction with the supplied shoulder belt.

An electronic 3-speed control (Hi/Med/Lo) adds extra power when needed or can increase run time in lighter brush. Automatic torque drive increases power to the motor depending on current load and a handy reverse switch allows easy removal of tangled grass clippings. Other features include IPX4 protection against dust and water ingress, overload protection and AFT that stops the motor if rotation suddenly stops.
